MOGADISHU, March 09, 2024: The graduation ceremony of the 1st batch of the Somali Nation University was held in Mogadishu and was attended by various officials of the Federal Government of Somalia, led by the President of the country, Mr. Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, the Minister HTS Ministry of Education, Members of Parliament, and other Officials.
President Hassan Sheikh who spoke at the event spoke about the efforts of the Somali government to reopen the Somali National University which was re-established in 2014 and said that the government is focusing on the development and promotion of education in the country.
“Education in our country has gone through different circumstances, and today I am a student graduating from the Somali National University, which is proof that if we work together and join hands, we can achieve greater results. . Citizens should pay the taxes owed to the country in an efficient manner.
The Chancellor of the Somali Nation University Prof. Hassan Osman Gal, congratulated the students and their parents who participated in the event
At the end of the event, certificates were awarded to the university graduates who took first place in their classes. The certificates were awarded by the President of the Federal Republic of Somalia and the Minister of the Ministry of Heritage and Higher Education.
