Program Description and Overview:

The Masters of Arts in Sociology & Social Work program is a comprehensive two-year program designed to provide students with a deep understanding of sociological theories, research methods, and social work principles. The program consists of 12 courses spread across four semesters, along with field practicum seminars and a graduating thesis. Throughout the program, students will engage in in-depth coursework covering topics such as social inequality, social policies, human behavior, mental health, M&E in Social work, disaster preparedness, case management and community development. They will also receive hands-on training through field practicum seminars, allowing them to apply
their knowledge in real-world settings under the supervision of experienced professionals. Upon completion of the program, graduates will be well-equipped for a wide range of career opportunities.  They may pursue roles as social workers, counselors, community organizers, policy analysts, research associates, or program directors in various settings such as non-profit organizations, government agencies, healthcare institutions, and
educational institutions.
